The way the Jumping Spider reproduces is a little different to other spiders. The Jumping Spider has a dance that they do to attract females. Unlike other spider species, you can tell the difference between a male and a female just be appearance The males have more unique, distinct patterns on their skin. The eccentric patterns also attracts the female. If the female is receptive towards the male she goes into a crouching position, the male then takes "action". Then the male will touch the female with his legs and if she is still receptive, he will inseminate her with his palps. This only happens in the summer time. The female then produces an egg sac under a silk blanket and stays with the sac until the young disperse. But she doesnt always stay around.
